Icons of timelessness, Singapore shophouses are symbols of culture well-preserved. My Awesome Café on Telok Ayer Street has become an icon of such.
Located on the ground floor of the first TCM Hospital in Singapore Chung Hwa Free Clinic, once an abandoned old hospital and now being transformed into an adored space filled with love and laughter. My Awesome Café deftly brings together various design elements whose union may only be best described by the café’s own name – Awesome. Thrifted school tables, scrap fire house pipes, polished concrete walls and floors, glassware reminiscent of grandma’s 70s dining table, illuminated by rows and rows of lights that bring a sense of warmth to the café’s industrial chic vibe, it is creative ingenuity at its finest.
My Awesome Café has been a venue of choice for various high profile events in the past two years, serving canapés on freshly-baked bread, salads whose leaves are air-flown from Melbourne, wraps, main courses such as French duck confit and lasagna, freshly baked desserts and stunning ice creams. We always source liquors and drinks that are mainly organic, hand-made and unique. And be ready to get served canapés in a 1950’s German toolbox!
My Awesome Café presents purposeful design that inspires. It is truly the ultimate homage to Singapore – always looking forward to the future while honouring its past.

Was surprised when stepping my foot here because the place was so vintage and different from another establishments. It is aesthetically unique place that I like. Located in Telok Ayer area, this place is strategically placed among the other crowd's favorites. Foods are good but usually crowded during lunch time.
